PROCESS AND COSTS
Step 1: Prior to the initial appointment patient is provided with a Patient Allergy History questionnaire to support the need for allergy testing.
Step 2: At initial visit, blood testing for common allergens is ordered.
Step 3: At follow up visit (2 – 3 weeks after initial visit) lab results are reviewed. The patient’s customized allergy drop prescription is written and filled in our office. Initial drops are administered in office and the patient is monitored for 20 to 30 minutes. The patient is taught how to self-administer and receives education materials.
Step 4: Allergy drops are shipped to patient’s home monthly along with a follow up allergy questionnaire.
Step 5: Patients returns in two months for follow up visit for possible dosage changes. Subsequent visits are required every 3 months (for the first year), then every 6 months thereafter.
STANDARD PRICING
Initial visit: $225 (If patient currently sees Dr. Loya for Hormones, Fibromyalgia, or Chronic Fatigue, first allergy visit is billed as a follow up).
Follow up visits: $145
Allergy Drop Cost: $100 per month plus shipping (must have auto-ship set up with credit card on file).
1st year expected number of office visits: 6 (1 initial/5 follow ups)
2nd year expected number of office visits: 2 follow ups
Depending on visit frequency (for Hormone, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue patients ONLY), some allergy visits may be able to be incorporated into current Hormone, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue appointments.
